Transfer ownership

Hand the Owner role to another member of your organization.

The Owner can transfer ownership to another member, for example when changing roles or leaving the company.

Transfer it

1. Open Organization. 2. Find the person who should take over. They must already be a member. 3. Choose to transfer ownership to them. 4. Confirm.

The transfer waits about a minute, then they become Owner. You keep Full access unless someone changes your role. See Why did Full access take a minute?.

Before you transfer

- Tell the person first. They inherit billing and member management. - Pick someone who will stay at the company. - Make sure at least one other teammate has Full access as a backstop.

Who can transfer

Only the current Owner. If the Owner has left and cannot sign in, use the help option and we will work with your team.
