Move candidates between stages

Update progress.

Moving someone forward or out takes a couple of clicks from anywhere you see them.

Move one person

1. Open Candidates or the job's pipeline. 2. Find the person. 3. Open their stage control and pick the new stage.

It saves immediately and everyone on your team sees it.

Move several at once

Select the people you want, then apply the new stage to all of them. This is the fastest way to clear a first pass, moving your yes pile to phone screening and the rest to rejected in two actions.

Emails that go with a move

If you have set up a template for a stage, moving someone into it can send that email automatically. Check which stages are wired up before a bulk move so nobody gets a surprise message. See Stage email templates.

Fixing a mistake

Move them back. The stage change is not permanent and their history stays intact. If an email already went out, it cannot be recalled, so a quick personal note is the best repair.

Candidates on several jobs

Stages are per job. Moving someone forward on one role leaves their stage on another role untouched, which is what you want when they are in two processes at once.
