Chats and threads

Find, rename, pin, share, and continue past conversations.

Every conversation you have is saved as its own chat, so you can come back days later and pick up exactly where you left off.

Find an older chat

Chats are listed under Recents in the sidebar. Newest activity is near the top. Pinned chats stay above the rest. If you start Apply with AI from the chat you already have open, that same Recents row is kept and renamed like Acme, Staff Engineer. A new Recents chat is created when you Apply from Jobs, Maps, or another surface that is not that open chat. That row stays after a reload. Apply with AI chats that need your attention float to the top with an orange indicator, and unread chats float above quieter ones until you open them. Opening a chat clears those dots and they stay cleared after a reload until something new needs you (for example a later Finish application step, or a new reply).

1. Open the sidebar using the menu button in the top left. 2. Scroll the list, or use search to look for a word you remember using. 3. Select a chat to reopen the full conversation.

On a phone, the sidebar slides in from the left. Swipe it away or tap outside it to close.

Job seeker chats live on worklittle.com. Business chats live on worklittle.com/business. The two lists never mix - a work chat will not show in the job seeker sidebar, and the other way around.

How chats get their names

Most chats get a short emoji title from your first message after that reply finishes, so "Help me apply to the Delta ramp agent job" is easy to spot later. If the first reply searches jobs and shows listings, the name switches to a search emoji plus your query as soon as a job card appears (for example 🔍 marketing), without waiting for the rest of the reply. That works while you are a guest too. The title stays in this browser until you sign in. Apply with AI chats use Company, Job Title (for example Acme, Staff Engineer) for that one Recents row, and only get an emoji added if needed.

To rename:

1. Open the menu (⋯) next to the chat in the sidebar, or open the chat menu in the toolbar. 2. Choose Rename. 3. Enter a clearer title and save.

Clear titles make a long list much faster to scan.

Pin important chats

Pin a chat so it stays at the top of your sidebar while you keep working on it.

1. Open the menu (⋯) next to the chat. 2. Choose Pin. Choose Unpin when you no longer need it pinned.

Pinned chats sync with your account when you are signed in.

Share a chat

You can copy a link to a conversation from the chat menu or from Share on a message.

| Surface | Who can open the link | Link shape | How long it lasts |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Job seeker ([worklittle.com](https://worklittle.com)) | Anyone with the link | `worklittle.com/chat/...` | About 48 hours |
| Business ([worklittle.com/business](https://worklittle.com/business)) | People in your organization | `worklittle.com/business/chat/...` | About 48 hours |

Sharing refreshes the expiry window. After it expires, create a new share link from the same menu if you still need it.

Only share chats you are comfortable others seeing. Need to flag a bad response instead? See Report a chat.

Continue, start fresh, or clean up

- Continue an old chat when the new question builds on it, like revising a resume you already worked on. - Start a new chat when the topic changes. Answers stay sharper when a conversation stays on one subject. - Delete chats you no longer need from the menu next to a chat in the sidebar. Deleting is permanent, so export anything you want to keep first.

Signed-in chats sync across your devices. If you were browsing as a guest, your history lives only in that browser. See Saving jobs as a guest for how guest data behaves.
