Slash skills menu

Shortcuts for common AI actions.

Typing a forward slash in the message box opens a menu of ready-made skills, so you can trigger a common task without writing out a long request.

Open the menu

1. Select the message box. 2. Type / as the first character. 3. A list of skills appears above the box. 4. Keep typing to filter, then use the arrow keys or a tap to pick one.

Press Escape to close the menu and go back to normal typing.

What skills do

A skill is a shortcut that tells chat exactly how to handle a common job search task, so you get a consistent result every time. Typical examples include writing a resume, drafting a cover letter, preparing interview answers, and summarising a job posting.

After you pick a skill, add your own details on the same line. "/cover-letter for the barista job at Blue Bottle downtown" gives a far better result than the skill on its own.

When to skip the menu

Skills are a head start, not a limit. If nothing in the list matches what you need, just describe the task in plain language. Chat handles open-ended requests the same way.
