Pipeline stages explained

Saved through Offer, plus Skipped and Viewed when you have passed on or looked at roles.

Each column on your Saved board is a stage, representing how far along you are with that particular role.

The seven columns you always see

| Stage | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| Saved | You are interested but have not applied yet |
| In progress | An application is started but not finished |
| Applied | Your application is in and you are waiting |
| Interview | A conversation is booked or has happened |
| Offer | You have an offer to consider |
| Rejected | They said no |
| Withdrawn | You pulled out, or you no longer want the role |

Every job starts in Saved when you heart it. You choose when it moves. Open the board at Saved.

Skipped

There is also a Skipped column for every role you passed on while browsing. It is not hidden behind a setting. It simply will not show until you save or apply for a job, then it fills with the roles you skipped so your active stages stay easy to scan.

You can drag the Skipped column anywhere among your other stages. It is worth checking now and then. See Skipped jobs.

Viewed

Viewed is for roles you opened long enough to read (about a second) that are not already on your board elsewhere. Quick peeks do not count. Skipping on the jobs deck does not add a Viewed card either - that goes to Skipped only.

The column stays hidden until it has at least one job. It starts last on the board by default, and you can drag the column anywhere you like. You can drag cards into or out of Viewed the same way as other stages. Hearting or applying moves the role into the normal pipeline and takes it out of Viewed.

Using stages honestly

The board only helps if it reflects reality. Two habits make the difference:

- Move a card the same day something changes, while you remember the detail. - Move dead roles into Rejected or Withdrawn rather than leaving them in Applied indefinitely.

A board full of stale Applied cards hides the two roles that actually need a follow-up today.

Reading your own pipeline

The shape of your board tells you where to put effort:

- Lots in Saved, few in Applied: you are researching more than applying. - Lots in Applied, few in Interview: your resume and cover letter probably need work. Try Create or edit a resume in chat. - Reaching Interview but stopping there: focus on interview practice.
