Add, change, or remove a payment method

Manage the card or bank account Stripe uses for Instant and pay-as-you-go billing.

Payment methods are managed through Stripe on Billing. Each organization (including Personal) has its own payment method.

Open payment settings

1. Switch to the organization whose bill you want to fix. See Which organization am I paying for?. 2. Open Billing. 3. Choose Add payment method or Manage payment method. 4. Finish the steps in the Stripe customer portal.

You can also open Manage billing under Account in Settings.

What you can use

Stripe may offer cards, Link, and U.S. bank account (ACH) depending on what is available for your account. Billing is in USD.

There is no separate prepaid wallet to top up. See Can I buy prepaid credits?.

Remove a payment method

Open Manage payment method on Billing and remove or replace the method in Stripe.

If you still owe money, or Instant is active, keep a valid method on file until the bill is clear and Instant is canceled. Removing the only method can block metered chat and API usage. See Payment required messages.
