When a job is closed
Why a role disappears.
Postings come down when the employer stops hiring for them, so a job you saved may show as closed the next time you look.
Why roles close
- The employer filled the position. - The posting reached its end date. - The role was put on hold or cancelled. - The employer removed it from their own careers site.
Worklittle follows the employer. When they take a posting down, it stops appearing here too.
What happens to your saved copy
A closed job stays on your Saved jobs board and is marked as closed. It keeps its place in your pipeline so your history stays intact.
If you already applied, keep it. A closed posting does not mean you were rejected, and employers do sometimes come back to earlier applicants.
What to do next
1. Open the company page and check for a similar current opening. 2. Look at similar jobs for the same title elsewhere. 3. Move the closed role to the appropriate stage on your board so your active list stays honest. See Move jobs between stages.
