Employee profiles
View and update one person's details, pay history, and documents.
A profile is the full page for one person on your team. It gathers their contact details, role, pay history, and paperwork in one place.
Open a profile
1. Go to Employees in the left sidebar. 2. Select the person's name in the table.
The profile opens with their photo, title, and department at the top.
What you can change
- Contact details such as email, phone, and location - Role details such as title, department, job type, and workplace type - Dates such as start date and end date - Compensation, including a history of past changes - Links such as LinkedIn, GitHub, and a personal website - Notes that only your team can see
Edits save as you make them. Anyone else viewing the profile sees the update without refreshing.
Pay history
Compensation keeps a running history instead of overwriting the old number. Select the compensation field to see previous amounts and when each change took effect. This makes review season and audits much easier.
Documents on a profile
Offer letters, policies, and signed forms linked to a person show their status right on the profile. Every employee also has an Employment verification letter that you can download for landlords, schools, and similar requests. That letter cannot be signed or deleted. To send something new for signature, see E-sign documents.
Who can edit
Editing depends on your role in the organization. If fields look read-only, ask an owner or admin to raise your access on Organization. See Organization details.
