How many chats can run at once?

Overlapping chat replies are fine; AI credit is the real limit.

You can start several chat replies at once as a guest or signed-in. There is no fixed concurrent chat count. Free AI credit (and Instant or a payment method when that runs out) is what stops new usage.

What stops a chat

If you are out of free credit and have no Instant plan or card on file, Send opens Log in for higher usage limits (guests) or Upgrade to Instant (signed-in) before a new message starts. Mid-reply, the cloud generation stops so unused AI is not billed.

Apply with AI uses the same AI credit rules. If you see Waiting, leave it open and it starts soon.
