How many chats can run at once?

Overlapping chat replies are fine; AI credit is the real limit.

You can start several chat replies at once. There is no fixed concurrent chat count. Signed-in free AI credit (and Instant or a payment method when that runs out) is what stops new usage.

What stops a chat

If you are out of free credit and have no Instant plan or card on file, Send opens Upgrade to Instant when you are signed in. If you are a guest, it opens Log in for higher usage. Mid-reply, the cloud generation stops so unused AI is not billed.

Apply with AI uses the same AI credit rules. If you see Waiting, leave it open and it starts soon.
