Turn auto-apply on or off with the API

Change auto-apply, review before submit, and tailored resumes for your account with one API call.

The three Applications switches in Profile settings can also be read and changed through the API.

The switches

Change them

Send only the switches you want to change:

GET /v1/apply-settings reads them. In MCP the tools are get_apply_settings and update_apply_settings.

Auto-apply needs Instant or a card

Turning on auto_apply needs Worklittle Instant or a card saved in Billing. Without either, the request returns 402 (AUTO_APPLY_REQUIRES_PLAN) and the switch stays off.

With auto_submit off, the jobs auto-apply finds wait for approval. They show as awaiting_approval in GET /v1/applications and in Pending on Saved. See Auto-apply.
