Instant job alerts

Emails based on the role you want.

Job alerts email you new matching roles without you having to check the site every day.

Turn them on

1. Open Settings. 2. Switch on Instant job alerts. 3. Make sure the Job title field on your profile says the role you actually want.

Both pieces matter. The switch turns on the email, and the job title decides what goes in it.

What decides your matches

Everything comes from the Job title field in Settings, which is the role you are searching for rather than the one you have.

- List several titles, separated by commas, to match any of them. - Put a minus in front of a word to rule it out, for example -Senior.

That is it. There is no separate alert to build or maintain. Change what is in that field and the emails follow along. See Your dream role field.

How often they arrive

- We check for new matches through the day. - An email only goes out when there are at least five new roles worth showing, so you are not pinged over a single posting. - You will never get more than three alert emails in one day.

Not getting any?

- Confirm Instant job alerts is on. See Email preferences. - Confirm your Job title is filled in. See Your dream role field. - Try a broader title, or add a second one. "Designer" finds far more than "Senior Design Systems Lead". - Check whether an exclusion is doing too much work. -Lead quietly removes a lot of postings. - Check your spam folder and mark the message as not spam so future ones land properly.
