Search jobs, companies, and chats

Find things quickly.

Search looks across jobs, companies, and your own conversations at once, so you can jump straight to whatever you had in mind.

Open search

Select the search icon, or press Cmd + K on a Mac or Ctrl + K on Windows.

Start typing and results appear as you go, grouped by type so you can tell a job from a company from one of your chats.

Homepage search suggestions (desktop)

On a computer, the composer on worklittle.com also works like a search bar. Click it to see up to ten suggestions: the first message of a chat that found jobs (not later follow-ups in that same chat), titles that match your desired role in Settings, the city nearest you when it is not already in those recents (that city takes one title slot), popular roles, and a small set of household-name companies with logos. Company suggestions only include employers that currently have open jobs in the catalog.

The same composer sits on About in place of Search jobs, including the same suggestions. On a phone, that composer stays fixed at the bottom of About, Research, and research articles.

With an empty search box, company rows stay limited to those mega brands that have open jobs. Type a name to search employers that have openings, including smaller employers and local boards.

If nothing matches, the suggestions hide and the bar looks normal again. Choosing a row sends that search the same way a suggestion chip would. This typeahead is desktop-only for now. On a phone the homepage composer stays fixed at the bottom as a normal chat bar.

To narrow Near you / Top picks or the map by date, experience, type, visa, or sort, use the chips above the homepage job cards or Filter jobs on Maps. Sort by defaults to Relevance (the usual matching). Distance, Salary, and Newest keep that order as you tap Show more. Salary uses listed pay when we have it. Roles without pay sit at the end.

Top picks for you on worklittle.com starts with ten jobs when you are browsing as a guest, and fifteen when you are signed in. Tap Show more to keep going. Extra matches that were already fetched stay ready, then more load as you scroll. In a large city, after the 50 km nearby pages run out, Show more can add neighboring 50 km areas, then one wider search. See Maps and the homepage.

Searching your own chats is often the quickest way back to a draft you wrote last week.

Search tips

- Use the words that appear in job postings. "Customer service representative" finds more than "phone person." - Try two or three variations of a title. Employers name the same role differently. - Shorter queries return more. Add words only when there is too much to read.
