Search jobs, companies, and chats
Search jobs, places, companies, and your chats from Maps and the chat composer.
Search covers job titles, places, and companies on the map, and the chat composer doubles as a search bar with suggestions.
Open search
Tap Search in the sidebar or in the phone's bottom navigation. It opens Maps, where you can search titles, places, and companies.
On Chat, the composer also works as a search bar. Click or tap it, then type. Matching job titles, recent searches, places, and companies appear as you go.
The older sidebar icon that searched chats, companies, and jobs in one overlay is turned off for now.
Homepage search suggestions
On worklittle.com/chat, up to ten suggestions appear as you type:
- The first message of a chat that found jobs (not later follow-ups in that chat) - Titles matching your desired role in Settings - The city nearest you, when it is not already in those recents (it takes one title slot) - Popular roles - A small set of household-name companies with logos, only those with open jobs in the catalog
With an empty box, company rows are limited to those brands. Type a name to search all employers with openings, including smaller and local boards. If nothing matches, suggestions hide. Choosing a row sends that search.
On a phone, the list uses the same rows as Jobs search. It sits above the composer with a dim overlay behind it, which fades out when there are no suggestions. There is no close button. Tap the composer to bring suggestions back.
The same composer and suggestions appear on About in place of Search jobs. On a phone it stays fixed at the bottom of About, Research, and research articles.
Filter and sort the job grid
Use the chips above the homepage job cards, or Filter jobs on Maps, to narrow by Sort by, date, visa, experience, or type.
- Sort by defaults to Relevance. Distance, Salary, and Newest keep that order as you tap Show more. - Salary sorts by listed pay. Roles without pay sit at the end.
The grid on worklittle.com starts with ten jobs for guests and fifteen when signed in, in two columns on a phone and three on a computer. Each card shows the company logo, name, and date posted.
- Apply appears when the role supports Apply with AI. It starts Apply with AI and you stay on the grid. An Applying with AI pill appears at the top. Tap it to open the chat. - If the role does not support Apply with AI, the card shows an open-original icon that opens the employer listing. - Show more keeps going. Already-fetched matches stay ready, then more load as you scroll. In a large city, after the 50 km nearby pages run out, Show more can add neighboring 50 km areas, then one wider search.

Search tips
- Use the words postings use. "Customer service representative" finds more than "phone person." - Try two or three variations of a title. Employers name the same role differently. - Start short. Add words only when there is too much to read.
