Notes and bookmarks on candidates

Keep hiring context.

Notes keep interview impressions and decisions attached to the person instead of buried in someone's inbox.

Add a note

1. Open the candidate. 2. Go to their notes. 3. Write what happened and save.

Notes are shared with your team and stamped with who wrote them and when.

What is worth writing down

- What you covered in the interview and how it went - Specific strengths and specific concerns - Salary expectations and notice period - What the next step is and who owns it - Why you decided what you decided

That last one matters most. Six weeks later, nobody remembers why a promising candidate was passed over.

Marking people to revisit

Bookmark the candidates you want to come back to, so a strong runner up is easy to find when the next similar role opens. It beats scrolling through an old pipeline hoping to recognise a name.

Who can see notes

Anyone on your team with at least comment access. Notes are never visible to candidates, though the sensible habit is to write everything as if it might one day be read out loud.
