Chat basics

Start conversations and get career help.

Chat is your free career assistant on worklittle.com, ready to answer questions, rewrite your resume, and walk you through a job search.

Start your first chat

1. Go to worklittle.com. 2. Type a question in the message box at the bottom of the screen. 3. Press Enter (or tap the arrow button on your phone) to send.

You do not need an account to try it. Signing in keeps your history, so your chats are waiting for you on your next visit and on your other devices.

What you can ask for

Chat is built around real job hunting tasks, not just trivia. A few things people ask every day:

- Resume help. "Rewrite my resume for a customer service role." - Interview prep. "Ask me five questions a nurse manager would ask." - Career quiz. "Give me a career quiz" or "quiz me for a store manager interview." - Job research. "What does a claims adjuster actually do all day?" - Outreach. "Write a short message to a recruiter about this posting." - Money questions. "Is $24 an hour reasonable for a warehouse lead in Ohio?"

You can paste a job posting straight into the message box and ask chat to tailor your materials to it.

Keep the conversation going

Chat remembers what you said earlier in the same conversation, so you can refine instead of starting over. Try follow-ups like "make it shorter," "sound less formal," or "now write the cover letter version."

When you want a clean slate, start a new chat instead of switching topics mid-conversation. See Chats and threads for how to find and reopen older conversations.

Where to go next

- Tips for better answers for getting more useful replies on the first try. - Create or edit a resume in chat to turn a conversation into a finished document. - Swipe to apply when you are ready to start applying.
