Your dream role field

How the Job title field works: several roles separated by commas, and exclusions with a minus sign.

The Job title field in Settings is where you say what you want next, and it is the single biggest lever on the jobs Worklittle shows and emails you.

Enter the role you want

Enter the role you want to be hired into, not your current one. If you are a support specialist aiming for product, write "Product Manager", not "Support Specialist".

Your work history comes from your resume, so employers still see what you have done.

Several roles

Separate titles with commas to match any of them:

Software Engineer, Product Manager

Each title you add widens what you see, so list only paths you are open to.

Exclusions

Put a minus in front of a word to leave out any job title containing it:

Software Engineer, Product Manager, -Senior

This shows software engineering and product roles but nothing senior. Common shorthands are handled, so -Senior also excludes "Sr." and "Sr".

In chat, the same leading-minus pattern works for employers when you say you do not want a company or group of companies. The assistant puts those in the company filter as slugs such as -lucid-motors, not in this field.

Length

Keep it to several titles and a couple of exclusions. A short list works better than a long one.

What it drives

- Roles in your job alert emails. - Jobs you see while you swipe to apply. - The framing chat uses when you ask for advice on your search.

It does not control where. There is no location box in Settings. Nearby search uses your device location when already allowed, otherwise an approximate network location (no permission prompt). To grant or refresh precise location, use current location on Maps.
