Cover letters from chat
Draft tailored cover letters.
Chat writes cover letters that reference the actual posting, so each application reads like it was written for that employer rather than copied from a template.
Write one in three steps
1. Paste the job posting, or its link, into chat. 2. Attach your resume so the letter matches your real history. 3. Ask for the letter: "Write a short cover letter for this role, friendly but professional."
If you already discussed the job earlier in the same conversation, you can skip straight to step three.
Make it sound like you
The first draft is a starting point. Push it closer to your voice with follow-ups:
- "Shorter. Three paragraphs maximum." - "Less corporate, more like how I actually talk." - "Open with why I want to work at this specific company." - "Mention that I am switching from retail into healthcare."
Adding one honest, specific detail, like a shift you covered or a problem you fixed, does more than any amount of polish.
Before you send
- Check the company name and role title appear correctly and are spelled right. - Remove any claim you cannot back up in an interview. - Drafts skip a "Dear Hiring Manager" greeting and lead with the role, company, and proof from your resume. If the posting asked for a named contact, add that in a follow-up. - Save the final version as a document so you can reuse the structure next time. See Documents in chat.
