Business prompt guide

Prompts for posting jobs, reviewing candidates, and running surveys.

Paste these into chat at worklittle.com/business. Replace the bracketed parts with your own details.

Write a job posting

Draft a job posting for a [job title] at my company.

Details:
- Team: [team name and what it does]
- Location: [city] and [remote / hybrid / on-site]
- Level: [junior / mid / senior]
- Pay range: [range]
- Must-have experience: [two or three things]
- Nice to have: [one or two things]

Write it in plain language. No corporate filler.
Structure it as: what the role is, what you will do, what we are looking
for, and what we offer. Keep requirements to six bullets maximum.

Tighten a posting you already have

Here is our current job posting: [paste it]

Rewrite it to be shorter and clearer.
- Cut anything that would be true of any job at any company
- Turn vague requirements into concrete ones
- Flag any wording that might discourage good candidates from applying
- Keep the same meaning and the same pay range

Summarize your candidates

Give me a summary of the candidates for [job title].

As a table with one row per candidate:
- Name
- Current or most recent role
- Years of relevant experience
- The single strongest thing in their favour
- The single biggest gap

Sort by how well they match the posting. Do not guess at anything that is
not in their application.

Screening questions

Write 5 screening questions for [job title].

Rules:
- Each should be answerable in two or three sentences
- Each should tell me something a resume cannot
- No trick questions and nothing that touches on protected characteristics
- Include what a strong answer looks like for each one

Candidate messages

Write two short emails for [job title]:

1. Inviting [candidate name] to a first interview. Warm, specific about
why we liked their application, offer two time slots.
2. Declining a candidate we are not moving forward with. Kind, honest,
short, no false hope, no generic filler.

Build a survey

Create a survey called "[survey name]" for [who will answer it].

Goal: [what you want to learn]

Give me 8 questions:
- Mix of multiple choice and short open questions
- Put the easy ones first
- Mark which ones should be required
- Keep every question to one sentence

Avoid leading questions. I want honest answers, not confirmation.

Draft an HR document

Draft a [policy name] policy for a company of [size] people in [country].

Cover: [the two or three things it must address]
Use short sections with headings.
Write it so a new employee can understand it on the first read.
Mark anywhere I need to fill in a company-specific detail with [brackets].

Remind me at the end that this needs legal review.

Sketch an automation

I want an automation that does this:

When [trigger, for example a candidate applies to any engineering role],
then [first action], wait [time], then [second action].

Lay it out on the canvas for me. Explain each step in one line before you
build it so I can correct you first.
