Mention apps with @ in chat

Type @ to pick an app like Gmail, Slack, or Notion, and Business chat uses it for that message.

Want Business chat to use a specific app? Type @ and pick it, the same way you mention a person in a group chat. Then ask in your own words, like "@Gmail send Sam the interview times."

How to mention an app

1. Open the chat box on your Business home. 2. Type @. A list of apps opens, with the most popular first. 3. Pick an app. It shows as a blue chip in your message. Press Backspace once to remove it. 4. Finish your message and send.

Not connected yet?

If the app is not connected, chat shows a Connect button right in the conversation. If access ran out, it says Reconnect. Tap it, sign in to the app, and carry on. Chat may also suggest apps that would help with what you asked.

See Plugins and connectors for the full list of apps.

Watch it work

Business chat shows what it is doing while it works: Thinking, then each step. When it finishes, it says how long it worked. Tap the arrow to see the steps it took. It can take on bigger jobs too, working for several minutes on its own.
