Create and edit documents
Write policies, letters, and handbooks in the built-in editor.
The document editor works like a familiar word processor. Type, format, and your work saves automatically.
Create a document
1. Go to Documents. 2. Select New document, or pick a template to start with wording already in place. 3. Give it a title at the top of the page.
Formatting basics
- Headings break a long policy into sections people can scan. - Bold and italic for emphasis, used sparingly. - Bulleted and numbered lists for steps and requirements. - Tables for things like pay bands or leave allowances.
Select text to bring up the formatting toolbar.
Working with others
Share a document with a teammate and you will both see edits as they happen, including each other's cursor. This is faster than emailing versions back and forth.
Uploaded PDFs
When you upload a PDF instead of writing one, you get a different set of tools. You can add text boxes, draw, place a signature, and erase marks. This is useful for forms you receive from outside your company.
Download and send
- Download as PDF or .docx exports a clean, formatted copy with side-by-side section labels, full-width headers and banners, and your company logo linked to your website. - Share gives specific people access inside Worklittle. - Send for signature starts the signing flow. See E-sign documents.
